Data Processing Notice

How Finonest processes the personal data you give while applying for a Used Car Loan, and the separate choices you have.

Reading this page does not give or record any consent. Consent is given only when you actively confirm it during your application.

1. Who is processing your data

Finonest India Private Limited (CIN: U66190RJ2018PTC060491), registered office: 3rd Floor, Besides Jaipur Hospital, BL Tower 1, Tonk Road, Mahaveer Nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan – 302018; email: info@finonest.com. (These details are as published on Finonest's Privacy Policy page.)

In this notice, "Finonest", "we" and "us" mean this company.

2. Application processing and service communication

We process the details you provide in your Used Car Loan application so that we can handle your application and keep in touch with you about it.

  • To receive, verify and process your application and assess your eligibility for the products you ask about.
  • To contact you about your application, including one-time passcodes and service-related messages by SMS, WhatsApp, call or email.
  • To maintain the records needed to run and support your application.

We collect and process personal identifiers (Name, DOB, Gender, Mobile Number, Email ID, Current & Permanent Address), government identifiers (PAN, Aadhaar/e-KYC via UIDAI where authorized), vehicle records (Registration Number, Make, Model, Fuel Type, Hypothecation Status), and financial information (Income, Employment details, Bank Statements). This processing is conducted strictly under Section 4 and Section 6 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 for loan qualification, fraud prevention, and facilitation with our partner lenders.

3. Credit information

To assess your eligibility we may ask for credit information about you through Finonest's arrangement with Twominutes Fintech Private Limited, which provides access to credit information from CRIF High Mark. This is described in the Credit Information Consent Notice.

Credit information is requested only on the basis of the separate authorisation you give during your application.

4. Sharing your application with a lender or referral partner

When you choose a lender and submit your application, details from your application are intended to be shared with that lender or referral partner so that it can consider your application. This is described in the Application Sharing Notice.

5. Marketing is a separate, optional choice

Promotional messages and offers are intended to be a separate and optional consent. Declining marketing is not meant to stop you from applying for a loan or receiving service-related messages about your application.

Promotional communications cover tailored loan rate alerts, pre-approved vehicle refinance options, and financial updates sent via SMS, WhatsApp, phone calls, or email. You may opt in or opt out anytime without affecting your active loan application by updating your preferences in Manage Consent (/manage-consent), clicking unsubscribe links, or messaging 'STOP' to our WhatsApp helpline (+91 91191 19992).

6. Reading a notice is not giving consent

Reading this page does not give or record any consent. Consent is given only when you actively confirm it during your application.

7. Withdrawing consent and your other choices

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time under Section 6(4) of the DPDP Act 2023. You can review, modify, or withdraw individual consents directly using our self-service Manage Consent portal at /manage-consent (available in your account under Profile > Consents).

Upon withdrawal of consent, Finonest will cease processing your personal data for that specific purpose, except to the extent retention is required by statutory laws such as PMLA 2002. Withdrawal of application-sharing consent before loan sanction will pause further processing by the chosen lender.

8. How long data is kept

Your application data and uploaded KYC documents are retained for the active duration of the loan facility or for the statutory retention period mandated by Indian law (typically 8 years under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 and RBI Digital Lending Directions). Upon expiry of the statutory retention period or valid erasure request, data is securely and permanently purged. Credit information is not kept for this period: it is handled as described in the Credit Information Consent Notice (the credit report is deleted within 30 days).
